Nepal misplaced to Indonesia in a pleasant fit


5 October, Kathmandu.

Nepali national U-23 football team lost 2-0 in a friendly match against Indonesia U-23 on Friday. The Nepali team stopped Indonesia in the first half but faced a goal in the second half.

Hasin Sagdhara scored for Indonesia in the 55th minute. Indonesia won 2-0 after Witten Suleiman scored in injury time.

Nepal, the last team in the AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers, played a friendly match against Indonesia in Tajikistan. In the Asian Cup qualifiers, Nepal is in the group of Asian football’s powerhouse Iran, Lebanon and host Tajikistan. A 35-member team comprising 23 players and 12 officials left for the destination on Tuesday.

The AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers are being held from October 25 to 31. Nepal will compete with Iran on October 25, Tajikistan on October 28 and Lebanon on October 31.
