Some other senior died on the Neuro Sanatorium



Kathmandu. Senior journalist Ramananda Prasad Gupta, 58, vice-president of Federation of Nepali Journalists, State 2, has passed away. He died at the Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar on Friday afternoon after suffering a stroke due to high blood pressure.

Last Wednesday, I was treated for a brain injury at the Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar. Gupta, a senior journalist who has been active in the field of journalism since 2046 BS, was also the founder of the Siraha branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists.

He was also the one-term president of the Siraha branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists. He was interested in print, radio and television journalism. He also received the Press Council Active Journalism Award from President Bidyadevi Bhandari on September 25.

Senior journalist Gupta was also the district chairperson of the Consumer Rights Protection Forum and the secretary of the local citizen monitoring body of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. His family members have stated that he was cremated today.
