5 October, Kathmandu. The CPN (Unified Socialist) has made public the progress details of the two-month period of party formation.
Spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada said in a statement that unprecedented enthusiasm was seen within two months of the formation of the party. “This situation has been made possible by the spontaneous participation of thousands of youth and student activists across the country in favor of party building,” the statement said.
The UCPN (Maoist), which was recognized for party registration on August 26, has hailed the formation of 73 geographical districts and four non-geographical district committees as an achievement. The statement said that despite some problems due to floods, landslides and drowning, the party organization building work is in full swing.
The UCPN (Maoist) has stated that the central committee has been completed during this period and the responsibilities of the leaders have been assigned. It has also been informed that the party is preparing to publish a ‘Kalam’ bulletin to publish ‘socialism’ and activities as its mouthpiece.
