Mugu bus coincidence: State executive to offer one lakh to the circle of relatives of the deceased

6 Kattik, Karnali (Surkhet). The Karnali state government has decided to provide one lakh relief to the families of those who died in a bus accident in Mugu on September 13.

A meeting of the Provincial Disaster Management Council chaired by Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi on Friday decided to provide relief to the families of the accident victims.

The council meeting has also decided to provide one lakh relief to the families of those killed in road accidents in Mugus and other districts of the state.

Thirty-three people were killed in the Mugu bus accident. The meeting has directed to pay the families of the deceased who died due to COVID-19 as per the procedure of relief distribution.

A press note issued by the Secretariat of the Chief Minister’s Office states that Rs 28.6 million has been paid to 286 people so far and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law has been directed to send the money to the bank account of the right holder after verifying the documents from the District Administration Office.

Similarly, the meeting has nominated Bimala KC, Chandra Bahadur Shahi and Him Bahadur Shahi as vacant members as per Rule 3 Sub-rule (2) of the Karnali Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Rules, 2076 BS.
