6 October, Banepa. Minister for Urban Development Ram Kumari Jhankri has remarked that Nepal is lagging behind due to the tendency to run after power. She said that it was necessary to move ahead with the work of equitable distribution and planned development.
At a program organized by the CPN (Unified Socialist) Dhulikhel Municipal Committee on Saturday, Minister Jhankri said that there was no difference in the living standards of the people as development was taking place without planning and research.
She said that people still call it a smart city for popularity on the basis of what they have heard, adding that the modality of development of the entire country is just running after power.
Minister Jhankri said that if the budget is allocated only for the schemes submitted to the Planning Commission, the scheme will be completed on time and the citizens will get the dividend soon.
