Reduction will probably be equipped to the affected households: PM Deuba

Biratnagar, Nov. 22: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that relief will be provided to the families affected by the incessant rains. During a brief conversation with media persons at Biratnagar Airport this morning, he said that the government would provide food and proper accommodation to the victim’s family. Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of life and property due to incessant rains, Prime Minister Deuba also thanked the security forces deployed for rescue and relief.

He said that the decision would be taken at a meeting of the Council of Ministers for the relief and loss of life and property across the country.

He expressed his commitment to work for the immediate relief of the victims by making short-term and long-term plans. On the occasion, Chief District Officer of Morang Kashiraj Dahal informed the Prime Minister about the damage in Morang.

Prime Minister Deuba is scheduled to visit Ilam and Panchthar today to get information about the damage, said Mahesh Timsina, Assistant Chief District Officer of Morang. He is accompanied by Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal and Vice President of the Nepali Congress Vijay Kumar Gachchhadar.
