A person has died in a road accident at Kankai Municipality-9 Laxmipur on the East-West Highway. A motorcyclist was killed when a truck (P1-01-001K 3520) coming from east to west and a motorcycle (May 5 Pa 8472) heading in the opposite direction collided with each other on Saturday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Nischal Khanal, 27, of Arjundhara Municipality-3, according to the District Police Office. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rakesh Thapa, Khanal died on the way to Birtamod-based B&C Hospital.
Similarly, three persons were killed in separate accidents in Sarlahi on Saturday. According to the District Police Office, two persons and a child were killed when they were hit by a motorcycle.
The deceased has been identified as Papita Devi Sah, 28, of Mohanganj in Brahmpuri Gaonpalika-7, according to Lalan Sah.
Similarly, 40-year-old Surendra Sah of Brahampuri-2 died due to electric shock, said Police Inspector Krishna Giri. Sah was electrocuted on Saturday evening while trying to connect a WiFi wire to an electric pole.
Meanwhile, Prakash Bahadur Thing, a 14-year-old boy of Bagmati Municipality-8 died when his motorcycle collided with a bicycle in Bagmati Municipality-5 on Saturday night, according to police.
