We can supply separate reduction to flood-hit ladies, youngsters and senior electorate: Minister Regmi


7 October, Kathmandu. The government has started discussions on providing separate relief to women, children and senior citizens affected by floods, landslides and inundation.

Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Uma Regmi said that discussions have been started with her ministry to provide relief to the victims of floods, landslides and inundation.

In a brief conversation with News Agency Nepal in her office at Singha Durbar on Sunday, she said that she would take concrete decision on what can be done for the women, children and senior citizens concerned with the ministry by taking data from the local government.

Minister Regmi also clarified that it is the responsibility of the local government to provide immediate relief to pregnant women, pregnant women and other pregnant women who are suffering due to the disaster.

‘Women and children are more affected by every outbreak. Women and children were also more affected in Kovid. They have been affected by floods, landslides and earthquakes. The government will do it in its entirety. Not specific. ‘ She said, “But the local government will provide relief by collecting the data. What can be done about it with the local government? He said that discussions are underway with the local government to provide relief to the flood victims.

Minister Regmi reminded that the government was preparing to provide relief to the flood, landslide and inundation victims by conducting on-site observation and for that the Prime Minister himself was going on an on-site observation. She also urged the local governments not to delay in providing immediate relief to the affected people.
