Solution of Rasuwa’s lively club dispute, ward conference on October 10

October 22, Kathmandu. Nepali Congress has made public the details of active membership of Rasuwa district. On Monday, the Congress Central Election Committee released the final list of Rasuwa’s active members.

The election committee has stated that the membership list of 3,880 people has been made public in Rasuwa. Now, the active membership list of Rautahat district is yet to be made public.

In Rasuwa, there was a controversy over the active membership given to those who joined from the then New Shakti Party. About 1,200 active members were distributed to those from the new power.

Out of the 1600 active members in the Congress, the same number of active members have been added by the then new force. There was a controversy in Rasuwa saying that active membership was distributed to those who had joined the party from other parties to weaken the leaders and cadres who had contributed to the party for a long time.

Congress central member Pradip Poudel was given the responsibility of resolving Rasuwa’s active membership dispute. After a long discussion, the active membership dispute in Rasuwa has been resolved.

According to the Election Committee, a ward convention will be held in Rasuwa on November 10. The Election Committee has already made public the schedule for the convention to be held in the districts where there is no ward convention including Rasuwa.

Congress is yet to hold ward conventions in 13 districts. The election committee has already appointed a central representative in the districts where no convention has been held. The convention in Rautahat is in a dilemma as the active membership dispute has not been resolved.

The election committee has already appointed a central representative in the districts where no convention has been held. Leaders and cadres of Rautahat’s Representative Assembly Constituency-1 have been on strike at the party office Sanepa for the past 109 days alleging that the active membership was rigged. The Central General Convention of the Nepali Congress is being held in Kathmandu from 24th to 27th.
