Kathmandu, 22 October. Influential Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said that the party cannot run under the leadership of president Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel. He said that there was no alternative to change the leadership if the Congress was to be strengthened.
“The party can no longer be run by Deuba and Poudelji,” Singh said at a function in Kamalamai, Sindhuli.
He said that he has presented himself with a mission and vision for a change of leadership in the Nepali Congress. Singh said that he has strong will, ideas and right plans to run the Congress.
He also urged to save the future of the party and the country from being ruined for the sake of momentary gain. “Congress and the country will not run from Bethiti,” said Singh. See the future of sons and grandsons. Choose and send a good leader. Save the Congress. ‘
He argued that the country and democracy would be weakened when the Congress was weakened. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that he had twice dared to dissolve the House of Representatives when the Nepali Congress was weakening. He said, “If the Congress is weak, the communists will throw away democracy.”
Reminding that important historical works have been done under the leadership of the Nepali Congress, he said that the Congress would also play a role in making the country prosperous. He said that the constitution was promulgated during the Congress-led government after the communists failed in the past.
“This is proof that the communists cannot give political stability,” he said, adding that the Oli government could not survive with two-thirds of the vote. He said that during the Oli government, the competition for corruption within the communists had increased. He said, “The government has collapsed while competing in corruption.”
He told Oli that no one could win in the airy talk. He said that the country was in trouble due to the influx of communists. Nepali Congress central member Gagan Thapa said that the party would be the first party in the upcoming election. He stressed on the need for the Nepali Congress to contest the election alone.
He said, “The day after the party’s 14th general convention, we will have to raise four flags and participate in the local elections. It is the nature of the Congress to contest the elections alone, not our nature to fight the elections with anyone.” He reminded that some attempts of the alliance in the past were not successful.
Thapa said, “We got 3.1 million votes. 4.2 million votes are needed to become the first party. To our voters, Congress is an idea for them. ‘
Thapa remarked that there was a big riot in the court now. He said, “If the Congress does not stand in the right place on the issue of the court and does not say that the Congress is against the mobilization of the judiciary, 3 million voters will leave the Congress.” He said that the Congress should be clear on important issues.
In the past, voters in Chitwan voted for another party, but in Kathmandu, the Congress lost. He said that such a situation should not be allowed to happen again. He said, “In Chitwan, when the votes of their voters were cast for another party, the votes of the Congress in Kathmandu decreased. Therefore, the Congress should speak in favor of the truth about the court.
