Kathmandu. CPN-UML Lumbini State Committee member Kumar Thapa Magar is mourning his daughter. His daughter Kriti Thapa Rajbhandari, 27, died at Norvik Hospital on Saturday while undergoing treatment, according to family sources.
She also had an infection and heart problems while pregnant. She died about a year after her marriage. Working for Nepal Rastra Bank, she had also acted in music video telefilms and movies.

Kriti was married to Rabindra Rajbhandari, who is currently working as an officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, only 11 months ago. Rabindra was preparing to go to Brazil this week. The doctor had given the delivery date of the eight-month-pregnant baby in November. As her cough worsened, she was admitted to Norvik Hospital in Kathmandu.
Kriti was taken to the Teaching Hospital on November 25 and operated on. She died on the ventilator a week after the baby was removed.
Kriti’s heart was operated on 12 years ago and the valve was replaced. Of the four valves in his heart, three were artificial. According to family sources, there is a problem in one of the valves.
