UML will elevate 100 rupees from birthday party contributors for the overall conference

October 22, Kathmandu. CPN-UML is going to raise Rs. 100 from party members for the 10th National General Convention to be held in Chitwan from November 29 to 30.

UML has decided not to raise donations, said Surendra Pandey, co-coordinator of the original management committee. “Raising 100 rupees from party members raises about 70 million rupees,” Pandey said. UML has claimed that the number of party members has reached seven lakh.

Similarly, Rs 2,000 will be collected from the General Convention delegates and Rs 3,000 from the Central Committee members. Pandey said that the general convention will be held by collecting a certain amount even from those in the position of profit.

Apart from renewing membership, UML had not previously raised money from party members for general convention purposes.
