23 October, Kathmandu. The stock market index Nepse has declined by 80 points. While the index decreased by 79.79 points on Tuesday, the transaction amount has improved from Monday.
Shares of 225 companies worth over Rs 6.52 billion were bought and sold in the secondary market on Tuesday. Shares worth Rs 4.42 billion were bought and sold on Monday.
In the declining market, the share price of 179 companies decreased while the price of 7 companies increased while the share price of one company remained unchanged. All the 13 subgroups that came into business on Tuesday have turned red.
Today, the decline in development banks, finance, non-life insurance and other subgroups is at least three to five percent. Shares of Sahas Urja, Tehrathum Power and Manushi Microfinance rose 9 percent today, while shares of IC FC Finance and Mahalakshmi Development Bank went into a negative circuit.
Shares of Nabil Bank, Shahas Urja and Api Power Company are under high buying pressure today. Nabil Bank had the highest turnover of Rs 290 million, Sahas Urja Rs 25 million and Api Power Company Rs 220 million.
