Meghraj returning to A Department via Satdobato Membership

23 October, Kathmandu. Satdobato Youth Club of Lalitpur, which has been promoted to A Division this year, is playing Shaheed Smarak A Division League for the first time starting on November 13. And through this club, coach Meghraj KC is returning to A division club.

KC, who left the three-star club to pursue his own career, returned to club football after coaching FC Chitwan in the first edition of the Nepal Super League (NSL) last April-May.

Satdobato, the new team of A division, proposed Meghraj as an experienced coach. Meghraj also could not start the work he wanted because of Kovid-19 and accepted the offer of Satdobato.

A formal agreement is being reached between Satdobato and Meghraj KC on Tuesday. Club president Kapil Rana Magar said that they have chosen Meghraj to guide the team as it is a new team. ‘We have chosen him. As we are a new team from B (Division), we felt the need for guidance, ”he said.

Many clubs from B to A division have been relegated due to lack of experience and good team. But Satdobato president Rana says, “We don’t want to repeat that. We have offered (Megharaj) as the team needs experience. ‘

Instructor Meghraj also said that he was satisfied with the proposal of Satdobato. ‘I worked in the A division league for many years. I also looked at prestigious clubs. It’s been a year and a half since I left Three Star. But bad luck with Covid-19 did not create an environment conducive to work, ‘said KC. At that time, Satdobato also proposed. Saying that he did not have experience in A division for the first time, he gave the responsibility. I also accepted that it would be a relief. ‘

While Satdobato is preparing for the A Division League, Meghraj is indirectly helping the club. “It’s both a challenge and an opportunity. It is also a demand of time. I have accepted the challenge and moved forward. ‘

Meghraj said that the achievements of the three-star club would not be new but the achievements of Satdobato would be important. “If Satdobato can be made a level team, it will be an achievement. So there are challenges and opportunities. It is a new club and I can work independently, ”he said.

Meghraj, who started his coaching career from PLA Sports Club, has been the coach of A Division’s Machhindra Club, Three Star Club, Himalayan Sherpa Club, Friends Club and Tribhuvan Army Club.
