One killed, 18 injured in Sindhupalchowk highway coincidence


October 23, Sindhupalchok. One person has been killed and 18 others injured in a microbus accident at Bandeu Chautara road section in Pokhara of Chautara Sagachokgadhi Municipality-11 of Sindhupalchowk district.

The deceased has been identified as Saraswati Parajuli, 40, of Balefi Gaonpalika-5, according to District Police Office, Sindhuli. She succumbed to her injuries at Dhulikhel Hospital.

The injured have been identified as Pashupati Thapa, 51, Tulasi Thapa, 46, of Chautara Sagagadhi Municipality-1, Arun Tamang, 22, of Hetauda Sub-Metropolis-1 and Swahita Thapa, 23, of Bara Simara. The injured are undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.

Micro driver Ram Lal Thing of Hetauda Sub-metropolis-1 has sustained head injury. He is undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital, police said.

At 12:55 pm on Tuesday, a high speed micro bus (Ba 2 Kha 2612) heading towards Kathmandu from Chautara fell 7/8 meters from the road uncontrollably.
