One killed, 18 injured in Sindhupalchowk microbus twist of fate

Sindhupalchok. A person has died when a micro bus heading to Kathmandu from the district headquarters Chautara met with an accident at Pokharebesi of Chautara Sagachokgadhi Municipality-11 on Tuesday. One person injured in the accident died while undergoing treatment.

According to Daksh Kumar Basnet, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk, one person who was immediately rescued from the spot died while undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital in Kavre. The deceased has been identified as Saraswati Parajuli of Balefi village municipality-5.

Another 18 people have been injured in the accident. All the injured are undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital in Kavre, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Daksha Kumar Basnet. The injured have been identified as Pashupati Thapa, Tulsi Thapa, Dakendra Thapa, Raj Kumar Tamang and Magar Susmita Shrestha of Chautara Sagachok Gadhi Municipality-1.

The injured have been identified as Katul Sherpa of Chautara Sagachok Gadhi Municipality-5, Lakpa Sherpa, Bindu Sapkota of Chautara Sagachok Gadhi Municipality-6, Kumar Lama, Ashok Lama, Yam Kumari Thapa Magar of Chautara Sagachok Gadhi Municipality-7, Niroj Dangal, Chet Kumari Thapa and Dhading Golche. There are Pratima Karki, Navin Adhikari of Gaonpalika-4, Arun Tamang, co-driver of Makwanpur Hetauda-1, drivers Ram Lal Thing, Jibara Simara and Swahita Thapa.

The microbus (Ba 2 Kha 2612) under Sindhu Panchpokhari Prali met with an accident at Pokhrebasi around 12:15 pm. According to the police, the micro bus fell about 7-8 meters from the road. Photo file
