NUWAKOT: One of the injured has died in a bus accident at Manakamana in Kispang village municipality-5. Ramesh Tamang of Kispang-1, who was undergoing treatment at Grandi Hospital in Kathmandu, has passed away, said village chairman Chhatra Bahadur Lama. Nine of the injured are undergoing treatment at Kathmandu and 28 at Trishuli Hospital.
At least 13 passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries. According to the District Police Office, Nuwakot, the Ba 4 Kha 5762 bus left for Kathmandu from Valche overturned at Bhumesthan in Ward No. 5 of Kispang at around 10:25 am on Monday.
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress Nuwakot leader Prakash Sharan Mahat has requested the government to provide free medical treatment to the injured in the bus accident at Manakamana in Kispang Gaonpalika-5 of Nuwakot. Stating that he was stunned by the news of the accident, he made such a demand.
“I wish all the passengers who were injured in the accident a speedy recovery. I request the government to provide free treatment to the injured, ‘he said. Similarly, Mahat pointed out the need for some improvement in the operation of vehicles by assessing the daily road accidents in Nepal for some time now.
Likewise, Nepali Congress Nuwakot leader and Panchkanya village chairman Madhav Prasad Khanal, former district president Jagdishanar Singh KC, Bagmati MP Hiranath Khatiwadal and others expressed their grief over the incident. Everyone is requested to be careful.
