Kin discovered the frame, and the East-West Freeway reopened 13 hours later

October 24, Dhangadhi. Relatives have understood the body of Bhupendra Baduwal, who was killed with a sharp weapon. Along with this, the highway which has been blocked for 13 hours has come into operation.

Baduwal of Lamkichuha was killed by a sharp weapon in Tikapur Municipality-1 last night. Relatives had blocked the road since Wednesday morning in protest of the incident.

Relatives have taken the body to Tikapur Hospital for cremation on Wednesday evening. Chief Superintendent of Police (SP) Bishwa Adhikari of the District Police Office Kailali informed that the blocked highway has also come into operation.

Earlier, a clash took place between police and locals while trying to remove the obstruction on the highway. Police fired 12 rounds of tear gas to disperse the crowd.

According to SP Adhikari, police have arrested eight people on suspicion of involvement in Baduwal’s murder. Some people are absconding.
