Maruti Suzuki’s 2d era Celerio is going public with a beginning worth of Rs 499,000



Maruti Suzuki’s very popular hatchback car Celerio has been unveiled in the second generation market. The new car will be available in 4 trim and 7 variants including LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI Plus. The base variant LXI is priced at INR 499,000.

The new car is powered by a 1.0 liter K10 series engine. It has a maximum power of 67 PS and a torque of 89 Nm. Which is a bit more than the previous model. This new car is claimed to provide the highest mileage in the segment. It is claimed to provide 26 km mileage per liter of fuel consumption. It has Idol start-stop feature to increase mileage. The new Celerio is based on the Hartect platform.

This car includes an updated exterior look. The car is provided with updated headlamps, bumpers and taillamps. Some modifications have been made in its full body kit to make it more attractive.

The new Maruti Celerio includes features like Apple CarPlay and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment screen that supports Android Auto. It also includes Maruti’s Smart Play audio system for the first time. Idol start / stop function with push start / stop button is also included. Its top variants include a semi-digital instrument cluster and a multi-spoke steering wheel. The new Celerio will compete with cars including the Renault Quid, Hyundai Santro and Datsun Go and Tata Tiago in the entry-level hatchback segment.
