Kathmandu, 24 October. Nepal Army Taekwondo Referee Dipendra Dhakal has left for France to participate in the judging panel of the French Equopen World Rank Taekwondo Open.
He left for France today via Doha, Qatar to participate in the judging panel of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Pakistan Open International Taekwondo Championship held in Islamabad, Pakistan from 18 to 23 November.
He was the referee in 45 competitions in different groups of the Taekwondo competition in Pakistan. Referee Dhakal has been selected in the jury for the competition from the Asian Taekwondo Union and the European Taekwondo Union to be held in France from 26 to 28 November.
Referee Dhakal was also on the judging panel in the Taekwondo category at the Seventh World Military Sports Competition (CISMS) held in Wuhan, China in November 2076. Dhakal, who received his international refereeing course from the same city in China in 2074 BS, has succeeded in becoming an established international referee in the field of sports in Nepal. Dhakal is the only international taekwondo referee of the country’s security forces who is close to the second-ranked final in the international competition. रासस
