Two killed, 18 injured in bus-truck collision in Hetauda



Makwanpur. Two persons were killed when a passenger bus and a truck collided head-on at Hetauda in Makwanpur district. According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, two male passengers of the bus died in the accident while undergoing treatment. According to Jayeshwar Rimal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Makwanpur, the deceased have been identified as Andaji, 30.

He was pronounced dead at Hetauda Hospital at around 1:30 pm, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Rimal. His body has been kept at the mortuary of Hetauda Hospital. According to him, 18 more people have been injured in the accident. Of the injured, 15 are undergoing treatment at Chure Hill Hospital in Hetauda-11 and three at Makwanpur Cooperative Hospital in Hetauda-1.

Tanka Bahadur BK, 33, of Puranotol in Nijgadh Municipality-4 of Bara has sustained minor injuries and is currently under police control, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Rimal. The injured have been identified as Gyanendra Chaudhary, 39, of Mahottari Bardiwas Municipality-14, Mohammad Sakil Amad, 26, of Bidya Municipality-3, Dhanusha and Shambhu Das, 35, of Dhanusha. He is undergoing treatment at Makwanpur Cooperative Hospital.
