Protesters sit down in Kathmandu Valley court docket

October 25, Kathmandu. Lawyers agitating for the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra are going to hold sit-ins in all courts and tribunals in the Kathmandu Valley today.

As part of the second phase of the agitation program announced by the Nepal Bar Association, they are going to hold sit-ins in the court and tribunal from 10 am to 12 noon today.

The Nepal Bar had earlier staged demonstrations and sit-ins at the Supreme Court premises. Although Barr gave an ultimatum to the chief justice to resign, the movement has not stopped since he did not resign.

Barr has announced additional agitation programs under the second phase immediately after the end of Tihar holiday.

Even the Supreme Court judges have been uncooperative with the Chief Justice. But the Chief Justice is setting a daily pace.
