October 27, Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Central Working Committee meeting is being held on Sunday. With only one month left to the Central General Convention, the Congress Central Committee is about to convene. A meeting of Congress office bearers and former office bearers was held on Saturday to decide the agendas to be presented in the Central Committee meeting.
According to Congress spokesperson Bishwaprakash Sharma, the Central Committee meeting will approve the revised schedule of the General Convention, which was last made public by the Central Election Committee. Spokesperson Sharma said that the changes in the provisions of the party’s constitution at different times will be presented at the Central Committee meeting. He also said that discussions would be held on the formation of various sub-committees for the preparation of the General Convention.
“Now that the General Convention has been ensured, the Central Committee meeting conveys the message that we will move towards all the General Conventions with enthusiasm and energy,” said spokesperson Sharma. The leaders also said that they had discussed about approving the active membership list sent by the Public Relations Committees in different countries.
The Congress General Convention is being held in Kathmandu from 24 to 26 December.
