A sit-in of regulation practitioners on the most sensible breaking the police cordon

October 28, Kathmandu. Lawyers who have been protesting for two years have started protesting in the Supreme Court today. Legal practitioners have gone on strike to stop Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra at the main entrance.

Last Friday, lawyers staged a protest with the aim of barring Chief Justice Jabbar from entering. They were not allowed to enter by the security personnel but today they have broken through the security cordon and reached the highest premises.

Chief Justice Jabra entered the Supreme Court from another gate after a sit-in by lawyers at the gate on Friday. Law practitioners have said that they will hold a sit-in at the alternative gate today.

Strict security has been given to the Supreme Court now. A large number of security personnel have been deployed.

Nepal Bar has been protesting with black bandages on its hands since November 29 demanding Jabra’s resignation after he became involved in the distribution of cabinet members.

Supreme Court justices are also in favor of Chief Justice Jabbar’s resignation. The judges who opposed Jabra did not even sit in the courtroom he had appointed.
