Executive makes a decision to grant two days public vacation on Haribodhani Ekadashi

A two-day public holiday has been given on the occasion of Haribodhani Ekashi. It has been decided to give public holiday on Sunday and Monday on the occasion of Ekadashi Mela which will be held in Manakamana, a religious and tourist destination. Khandbari Municipality Mayor Murari Prasad Khatiwada informed that the executive meeting held on Sunday morning decided to grant public leave for two days.

Mayor Khatiwada said that the executive meeting has decided to give a two-day local holiday on the occasion of Haribodhani Ekashi. As per the decision of the executive, government and non-government offices and educational institutions will be on leave for two days.

A big fair is held on the day of Haribodhani Ekadashi in the famous Dham Manakamana premises. On Haribodhani Ekadashi, people from different parts of India and districts including Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta, Bhojpur and Tehrathum come to visit Manakamana. Locals say that the pressure of internal and external tourists has been increasing in Manakamana for the last few years along with the road expansion.
