One person has been killed in a tiger attack in the National Forest in Narainapur village municipality of Banke district. The deceased has been identified as Lakhan Gadaria of Narainapur Gaonpalika-4, Panditpuruwa. According to Basanta Gautam, Inspector at the Area Police Office, Bhoj Bhagwanpur, he was killed by a tiger while going to the forest to graze his cow.
According to him, the family members had lodged a search warrant with the police on Saturday after the shepherds who had gone to the forest to graze their cows did not return. According to the petition, a shepherd and a cow were found dead in the forest last night.
The body of a shepherd was found in the national forest about 5 km east of Govardhan Dham, a tourist spot in Narainapur. The back of the corpse has been eaten by a tiger. The neck and other parts of the body are covered with nangra. According to Gautam, a police inspector at the Area Police Office, Bhoj Bhagwanpur, the tiger also found a cow in Ma’re’s condition.
A few months ago, a man was killed in a tiger attack in Gavar area of Raptisonari village adjacent to Banke National Park. Narainapur leader Sohan Lal Yadav said that he was with the locals after seeing the tiger even in the national forest.
According to Police Inspector Gautam, the body of the shepherd was sent to Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj for autopsy.
