Nepali ladies’s cricket crew leaves for Qatar

The Nepali national women’s cricket team has left for Qatar today to prepare for the Asian selection for the ICC Women’s Twenty20 World Cup.

The Nepali women’s team will play a three-match T20 series against Qatar. After that, the Nepali team will leave Qatar for UAE for the Asian selection of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on November 19.

The selection game will be held in UAE from 6 to 12 November. A 14-member squad has already been announced for the selection under the captaincy of Ruvina Chhetri.

The Nepali team consists of Dali Bhatt, Sita Ranamagar, Karuna Bhandari, Indu Burma, Sarita Magar, Jyoti Pandey, Saraswati Chaudhary, Kajal Shrestha, Sabnam Rai, Kavita Kunwar, Apsari Begum, Kavita Joshi and Sangeeta Rai.

Similarly, Saraswati GM, Roma Thapa, Asmina Karmacharya and Mamata Chaudhary have been included in the alternatives. Earlier, the Nepali team had gone to Bangladesh to prepare for the tournament. There, the Nepali team also played a series with the local team of Bangladesh. In the Asian selection of Women’s T20 World Cup, Nepal will play against Bhutan, Hong Kong, Kuwait and Malaysia along with UAE.
