The government has decided to give Pfizer vaccine against coronavirus to the chronically ill from today.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Pfizer vaccine will be given to chronic patients above 12 years of age from today. According to the Ministry of Health, the campaign will run till November 20.
Twenty-four vaccination centers have been set up across the country to vaccinate long-term patients. Vaccination will be given at designated centers from 10 am to 4 pm.
Vaccination will be given to the patients who have been undergoing surgery or taking medicine for a long time for more than 12 years, patients with kidney problems, kidney transplant, undergoing dialysis and taking medicine.
Patients who have undergone surgery and treatment for any type of cancer, patients with chest problems who are taking medication as per doctor’s prescription, patients who have had organ transplants, severe high blood pressure and diabetes are also being vaccinated under the supervision of a physician.
The vaccine is also being given to people with a weakened immune system for any reason, as well as those with cerebral palsy. Any other vaccine against Covid 19, under 12 years of age and any serious allergy after the first dose of the vaccine should not be given.
In Kathmandu, Bir Hospital, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Civil, Martyr Ganga Lal Heart Center, Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, Patan Hospital, Martyr Dharmabhakta National Transplant Center and Virendra Sainik Hospital are camping.
Outside the valley, vaccinations will be given from Mechi Hospital Jhapa, BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences Dharan, Janakpur Hospital, BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Gandaki Institute of Health Sciences, Lumbini Regional Hospital, Bheri Hospital, Dadeldhura Hospital, Koshi Hospital, Gajendra Narayan Singh Institute of Health Sciences. .
Similarly, arrangements have been made to vaccinate Pfizer from Narayani Hospital, Dhulikhel Hospital, Dhaulagiri Hospital, Rapti Institute of Health Sciences, Karnali Provincial Hospital and Seti Hospital. The government has received 1,630 doses of the Pfizer Bioentech vaccine, which was provided through the Covax facility.
