Pfizer vaccine towards corona from nowadays: Who can get it? The place are the vaccination facilities?


October 28, Kathmandu. Pfizer vaccine against corona virus has been started from today. The first dose of Pfizer vaccine is being administered from today till November 20. The second amount will be given from December 12, according to the Ministry of Health.

The Pfizer vaccine, which has been administered by citizens of 132 countries of the world, has been started in Nepal for the first time. This vaccine can be given to children above 12 years of age. The ministry has stated that it is going to conduct a nationwide vaccination campaign by determining the group of chronic patients above 12 years of age who will be vaccinated.

The ministry has requested to go to the designated hospital with the medical documents issued by the hospital or doctor while going for vaccination.

The 1,620 Dodge Pfizer vaccine provided by the US government arrived in Nepal on October 25.

Where are the vaccination centers?

According to the Ministry of Health, vaccination program will be conducted from 8 hospitals in Kathmandu Valley.

Vaccination programs will be conducted from Bir Hospital, Virendra Sainik Hospital, Civil Hospital, Tribhuvan Teaching Hospital, Shaheed Ganga Lal National Center, Patan Hospital, Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital and Shaheed Dharmabhakta Organ Transplant Center in Kathmandu Valley.

Similarly, arrangements have been made for vaccination from Mechi Provincial Hospital, VP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and Koshi Hospital in State 1, the ministry said.

Similarly, vaccinations will be given from Gajendra Narayan Singh Institute of Health Sciences, Narayani Provincial Hospital and Janakpur Provincial Hospital.

Similarly, VP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital at Bharatpur in Chitwan and Dhulikhel Hospital in Dhulikhel will conduct vaccination program.

Similarly, vaccination program will be conducted from Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences in Pokhara and Dhaulagiri Hospital in Baglung.

Vaccination programs will be conducted from Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal, Rapti Institute of Health Sciences in Dang and Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj.

Vaccination programs will be conducted from Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi and Dadeldhura Hospital in Amargadhi in the far west and from Karnali Provincial Hospital in Surkhet in Karnali.

A group of long-term patients targeted for vaccination

  • Having had heart surgery or taking medication.
  • Kidney transplant dialysis or medication.
  • Treating any type of cancer.
  • Organ transplants.
  • Being treated for high blood pressure or diabetes under the supervision of a doctor.
  • In case of low immunity.
  • Diseases of the brain and blood vessels of the brain.
