Seven other folks had been arrested for protesting in Dolakha


October 28, Kathmandu. Police have arrested seven people for protesting against the Mude Charikot road connecting Dolakha with the capital.

Among those arrested are FNJ central member Ramesh Khatiwada, former FNJ central member Chiranjeevi Maskey, journalists Gokarna Bhandari, Shyam Khatiwada, Sirjan Ghimire, Rajan Basnet and Arjun Karki.

He was arrested by the police from the office of Long Sanghu-Jiri Road Improvement Project.

Journalist Rajan Basnet said that they were kept at the District Police Office, Dolakha.

The road, which was contracted six years ago, has fallen into disrepair due to negligence of the contractor and negligence of the government.
