Kathmandu, 28 October. Nepali Congress Dadeldhura president Karna Bahadur Malla has said that a sit-in will be held at the central office to cancel the ward convention convened by party president Sher Bahadur Deuba in the style of former King Gyanendra.
Speaking to Rishi Dhamala, a journalist for Nepali Debate, a program of Nepali Radio Network today, Chairman Malla said, “I am not against Deuba, I am against the autocratic working style. The factional ward conventions were held under his patronage. There is no alternative to sit-in for that return. ”
Chairman Malla alleged that the ward conventions of 76 districts were held in Dadeldhura due to the decision of the district working committee. He added, “The party president should be the guardian of all. There should not be only one faction leader. He convened a ward convention by deploying armed and district police from all over the far-western states. It has made a mockery of democracy. Active membership has been added from Budhanilkantha. Complaints with evidence of fraud were not heard. ”
