Brigade boys getting ready to overcome a large membership

Kathmandu. Brigade Boys Club (BBC) is one of the six clubs in Lalitpur in the Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League. The BBC’s top division league, run by Lahure, does not have such a good history. The club has not achieved much in history. The BBC, which has played in the last six editions of the league, has yet to win a league title.

Avoiding relegation in the last edition is an achievement for him. Founded in 2044, the BBC had to be relegated once in six league games. Released in 068, he was promoted to play in A Division League again on BBC 075.

In the country’s top division league, the BBC has risen to the top six except for relegation. The BBC has been fulfilling its goal by recruiting players who are honing their talents from the age group. The club has twice won the title of U-18 Fine Memory Competition by recruiting players from ANFA Academy.

The BBC has won the last two of the three editions of the competition in memory of former ANFA vice-president Lalit Krishna Shrestha. Players who have played in the same competition have saved the BBC from relegation zones in the last two seasons. In 075, a league was organized without relegation.

The BBC finished 12th in the relegation league without Anil Gurung’s captaincy. In 13 games in the single round robin league, the BBC had added 10 points with 2 wins, 4 draws and 7 losses.

Machhindra also got 13th position in the only league in which Saraswati Youth Club was relegated. Surviving a one-place loss, the BBC scored 2 points in 13 games with 2 wins, 3 draws and 8 losses. In the league which is scheduled to start from 3 December, the BBC will start the league by playing against the departmental APF football club at Dasharath Stadium. In the second match, New Road team will face NRT.

The BBC had saved itself from the relegation zone by being in ninth place when it first played in the league in 2006. That is the best result the club has ever produced in the league. This time the club wants to make some improvements and put itself in the top six. For that, the BBC is again dependent on young players.

“We haven’t really done well in the league. This time we are preparing to finish the league in the top 6, ‘says club manager Arvind Gurung. This time, the former captain of the national football team, Anil Gurung, is thinking of beating the big team of BBC young players. This time two teams will be relegated to the league. So to avoid relegation, the BBC is at risk of incredible results against big teams. Machhindra Football Club, Manang Marshyangdi Club and Tribhuvan Army Football Club, which have invested heavily in winning the league, will be given a headache by the BBC’s performance.

Sanoj Shrestha will be the coach of BBC. Sanoj has already worked as the head coach of Nepal’s U-16 team. Now, Sanoj’s strategy will decide which direction to take the team and where to take it.

This time the BBC has lost players like goalkeepers Vishal Sunar, Jaya Gurung and Hrithik Khadka who played last season. All three players have left the club and gone elsewhere. The BBC has brought Purna Chemjong, a former player of Three Star, in the club in place of Vishal who is in Manang.

Similarly, young defender Vishal Basnet, who played for the departmental Nepal Police Club last season, has been recruited. He will be on the bench in the opening game due to a huge injury. Some other players have been renewed, while others have come to the BBC to play a key role in bringing Satdobato to the B Division.

“The young players are doing well. We played three practice games. The players have done better than expected. We are optimistic about being in the top six, ”says Arvind, who has been in the” touch line “in the last league games.
