Call for from the federal government to research the Leader Justice

October 29, Kathmandu. A group of civil society groups has demanded the government to investigate the Chief Justice and maintain an independent judiciary.

In a statement issued on Monday, he said the issue of judicial deviation, including the question of the Chief Justice’s unreliable activities, performance and judicial efficiency, and corruption, should be addressed immediately.

He is of the view that the credibility of the judiciary cannot be maintained without transformation on the issues of opacity and political influence in the appointment of judges, politicization of the Judicial Council, corruption in the courts, irresponsible and insensitive behavior of legal practitioners.

“Therefore, we, the citizens, appeal to all levels of judges, staff and intermediaries involved in judicial corruption, including Chief Justice Jabbar, to be swiftly investigated and brought to justice,” the statement said.
