October 29, Dhangadhi. Murder of a youth in Kailali The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has started investigation into the incident.
A team led by a CIB inspector arrived in Kailali on Monday and started work, said Chief Superintendent of Police (SP) Bishwa Adhikari.
The CIB team will assist the joint investigation team of the State Police Office, District Police Office and Area Police Office in meticulous investigation and technical aspects. The team consists of two officers, including a CIB police inspector and an assistant police inspector.
Bhupendra Baduwal of Lamkichuha Municipality-1 was killed by a sharp weapon near Siddhartha Hotel in Tikapur Municipality-1 of Kailali on August 7.
Police have arrested nine people on charges of involvement in his murder. According to the District Police Office, seven accused, including Navin Rawal of Chisapani, are still absconding.
It is estimated that the incident may have taken place under organized crime as Baduwal was killed by a gang involved in criminal activities in Lamki Tikapur area from the past.
