Kathmandu, 29 October. Nepali Congress leader Gagan Thapa has expressed confidence that the party’s general convention will be held. Thapa said that he was confident that the party’s general convention would be held only after the meeting of the central working committee held on Sunday.
He said that the general convention could be held on time only after repeated pressure on the Election Commission. Leader Thapa clarified that the failure to convene the general convention on time was in a way a proof of the collective decay of the party. He also said that the leaders of the Nepali Congress have repeatedly failed to uphold the supremacy of the legislature within the party. Leader Thapa said that the Nepali Congress should solve the current problem in the court.File Photo
