One dies in conflict at birthday celebration

October 29, Biratnagar. One person has been killed in a clash at a birthday party in Koyalpur, Budhiganga-6 of Morang district.

According to Deepak Shrestha, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Morang, 26-year-old Rejan Dahal of Pakhribas in Dhankuta was killed when a group of 5-6 people attacked him with a khukuri.

He was seriously injured in the attack and was taken to Virat Medical College for treatment. He died at 9:30 pm while undergoing treatment.

According to the police, Kamal Thapa of Devrebas in Dhankuta had arrived at 4 pm at the birthday party of niece of local Nanu Limbu. A team including Dhan Bahadur Tamang of Budhiganga-6 had arrived at around 7 pm. Police say the team attacked the region. Nanu Limbu and Kamal Thapa were also injured in the incident.

The deceased were identified as Dahal and Thapa. They are workers in the Reliance Spinning Industry.

According to the police, Dhan Bahadur and Rejan had a fight on November 12. Dhan Bahadur was beaten by Rejan during a dispute over lighting a lamp in his eyes at night. After the incident, both of them apologized and got into a dispute.

However, police said that Dhan Bahadur, who arrived at the birthday party on Sunday with a group of 5-6 people, attacked him with a khukuri. The group involved in the attack has absconded after the incident. DSP Shrestha said that they were looking for him.

According to ward chairman Dilip Chaudhary, a fight broke out between the youths who drank alcohol at the birthday party.
