Kabul, October 29 The Taliban will issue passports in seven different provinces of Afghanistan. The Passport Directorate of Afghanistan is going to issue passports in Balkh, Paktia, Kandahar, Kunduz, Herat, Nangarhar and Khost provinces with effect from Sunday.
According to local media outlets, the decision was taken by the Afghan Ministry of Internal Affairs. Alam Gul Haqqani of the Passport Directorate told Khama Press that the first phase of the passport facility will be issued in seven provinces of the country from Sunday.
In the first phase, passports will be distributed to those who fill in the form online. A new passport will be issued on the basis of e-identity card. According to Khama Press, about 50 million passports have been printed so far since the Taliban took power.Photo: Agency
