October 29, Kathmandu. Starting today, the European country of Austria has started targeting around two lakh citizens who have not been fully vaccinated against corona.
According to the decision, people who have not been fully vaccinated against corona will not be allowed to leave the house except for urgent work. That is, people over the age of 12 who have not been vaccinated will not be allowed to work, buy food, get vaccinated, or walk without seeing a doctor. Those taking the first dose are also allowed to walk only if the corona test is negative.
“We have not taken this step lightly, but unfortunately it is necessary,” said Austrian Chancellor Alexander Schelenberg.
Austria has the lowest dose of coronavirus vaccine in Western Europe. In Austria so far only 65 percent of the population has been fully vaccinated. In the last few weeks in the country, the infection was seen to be increasing again.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed concern that the rate of corona infection in Europe could rise again.
