Biplab workforce’s bandh tortures passengers, 5 protesters arrested

October 30, Kathmandu. Passengers have been suffering due to the Nepal Bandh organized by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplava’ led CPN (Maoist) against the price hike.

Public transportation is scarce. Those who want to go to their destination this morning are suffering due to the lack of public transport.

Passengers who enter the Kathmandu Valley in the morning after a long journey are stranded due to lack of public transport. Passengers are seen waiting for vehicles at places like Kalanki, New Bus Park, Koteshwar, Balkhu and Balaju.

There are very few vehicles leaving the Kathmandu Valley. Private cars and motorcycles are plying in the Kathmandu Valley. But they are also less active than the previous day.

The deployment of security personnel has been increased in the Kathmandu Valley. No untoward incident was reported during the bandh, said Kathmandu Police Chief SSP Ashok Singh.

According to him, five protesters including three from Maharajgunj and two from Sankhu have been arrested.
