Doha: Australian women stripped naked at Doha airport are set to file a lawsuit against the Qatari government. The women were dropped off a plane as they were about to take off after a newborn baby was found at Hamad Airport in October 2020. A naked woman was tested on suspicion of having a miscarriage. The nurse examined the woman, who was taken in an ambulance from a Qatar Airways plane, wearing underwear.
Qatar has apologized for the protests, citing protests from women. Qatar’s then-Prime Minister Khalid al-Thani apologized on behalf of the government. An airport official involved in the incident was suspended.
