Top-ranked batsman Indu Burma hit a historic half-century for Nepal in the first T20I match against Qatar. After losing the toss at the West Indies International Cricket Stadium in Dohar, Qatar on Tuesday, Nepal lost 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 146 runs. This is the highest total ever made by this Nepali women’s team in T20I.
Nepal’s Indu Burma top-scored with 55 off 47 balls with five fours. Indu retired hurt and gave another player a chance. Indu holds the record for the first half century in T20I for Nepal in 45 balls. Earlier, Sita Rana Magar had scored 48 runs against Indonesia in 2019. Sita was dismissed for 39 off 33 balls with five fours.
Indu Burma and Sita shared a record 88 runs for the second wicket. This is the highest partnership ever formed in a Nepali women’s T20 game.
