October 30, Butwal. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Lumbini state president Pradip Uday has been elected.
Uday was elected chairman by getting 256 votes in the election. Another presidential candidate, Rishi Raj Devkota of Banke, got 194 votes.
Uday, who was elected as the chairperson, was the chairperson of the RPP Lumbini Provincial Ad Hoc Committee.
The election was held in the first convention of RPP in Bhairahawa which lasted for two days. Chief Election Officer Dilip Kumar Mallik said that out of 524 voters, 484 votes were cast and 34 votes were invalid.
From the convention, 32 state members have been unanimously elected. Among them are Rajendra Adhikari of Rupandehi, Sabbir Ali Pathan, Deepak Kumar Pandey and Vishwaprakash Shrestha.
Bhumidatta Upadhyay of Bardiya, Prabha KC, Nar Bahadur Nepali, Dharmaraj Shah, Deepak Rajauria of Kapilvastu, Saeed Ahmed Shah, Kanij Fatma and Manoj Sunar of Banke, Vijay Laxmi Chhetri, Vrijesh Bahadur Singh, Vishnu Singh Thakuri, Tilak Bahadur Shahi, Devendra Kiran Srivastava Unanimous members have been elected.
Similarly, Bhojendra Bahadur Kunwar of Palpa, Tej Prasad Pandey, Bhupal Rawat of Dang, Pyauli KC, Hiralal Khadka, Gehendra Bahadur Basnet, Yuvraj Rana of Gulmi, Himalaya KC, Yagya Raj Pandey, Sujan Pariyar of Arghakhanchi, Manohar Rayamajhi of Nawalparasi, Khemraj Kharel, Dev Bikram Shah, Suraj Ghimire of Pyuthan and Surya Bahadur have been unanimously re-elected.
There is a provision in the RPP’s constitution that the full meeting will be held after the chairperson nominates 25 percent members.
