Switch of ‘Kid Ventilator’ to Bhim Health facility


October 30, Butwal. Pratiman-Neema Memorial Foundation has handed over ‘Child Ventilator’ to Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa. The foundation has handed over a child ventilator worth around Rs 2.1 million.

Former Health Minister Deepak Bohara handed over the ventilator to Narayan Prasad Bhandari, Chairman of the Hospital Development Committee, at a function held at the hospital on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Bohara said that the foundation has provided assistance in the absence of ventilator even though a children’s ward has been set up.

Chairman of the Hospital Development Committee Narayan Prasad Bhandari said that the ventilator connection would help reduce the infant mortality rate.

Dharma Bahadur KC, director of the foundation, said that the ventilator was handed over as per the demand of the hospital to protect the children from the third wave of corona epidemic.

Earlier, the foundation had handed over health equipment worth Rs 110 million to 13 government hospitals in Lumbini province and health ministries in all seven provinces with the help of Project Hope.

The pediatrician of the hospital, Dr. Arif Hussain said that the child ventilator would be very useful for children. He said that the ventilator can give oxygen according to the weight of the child.
