20 injured in bus-truck collision in Kailali

8 Dec, Dhangadhi. Twenty people have been injured when a bus and a truck collided in Kailali.

At least 20 people were injured when a bus (Na 6 Kha 1982) coming from Bajhang to Dhangadhi and a truck (Na 6 Kha 2362) heading in the opposite direction collided near Khanidanda of Chure village under Bhim Dutta Highway on Thursday evening.

According to Acting Chief Inspector of Police Rajendra Singh of the Far-Western Provincial Traffic Police Office, Attaria, the condition of one of the victims is critical while the condition of the others is normal.

The condition of Maina Dhami, 60, of Bajhang is critical. He is undergoing treatment at Padyama Hospital in Attaria, said Inspector Singh.

Bus driver Lal Bahadur Chand and truck driver Krishna Parki were also injured. Twelve injured have been admitted to Padyama Hospital for treatment while the rest are being brought, police said.
