Parliamentary Committee Urges to Introduce Citizenship Invoice in Parliament

8 Dec, Kathmandu. The Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives has urged the government to introduce a bill on citizenship in the parliament.

In a meeting on Thursday, committee chairperson Krishna Bhakta Pokharel urged Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Prasad Badu to introduce a bill on citizenship in the parliament.

After discussing the bill related to citizenship, the State Management and Good Governance Committee of the Parliament has submitted it to the Parliament with suggestions. But the bill has not been tabled in the parliament.

When the Citizenship Bill was not passed, the children of born Nepali citizens could not get citizenship.
