Kathmandu. A woman who became a billionaire at a young age has died at a young age. Pankhuri Srivastava, founder of startups like social community platform Pankhuri and home rental startup Gravehouse, has passed away.
The news of the death of 32-year-old billionaire entrepreneur Pankhuri Srivastava, born in Jhansi, has shocked everyone. Pankhuri Srivastava passed away due to a heart attack. She was the Chief Executive Officer of the company.
The company said in a condolence message on Twitter, “Pankhuri Srivastava, the CEO of our company, passed away on 24th December due to a sudden cardiac arrest.” Her father and younger brother are in Bangalore.
He died of a heart attack on 24 December. The body was brought to Jhansi and the last rites were performed on 26 December. Pankhuri Srivastava was married to her childhood friend, cashew businessman Aditya Raj Sharma on December 2, 2020, at a hotel in Orchha near Jhansi. Their first wedding anniversary was on 2 December 2021.
The younger brother told his sister that when he came to Mumbai, he needed a flat to live in. He had to face a lot of difficulties in getting the flat on rent. He had experience of paying hefty fees to brokers.
Then I got home. While looking for a flat, the idea of not opening a real estate company came to his mind. He started the company so that people would not have to struggle to find a home in the big city.
He started Gravehouse Company in 2012 for Rs 20,000. The company gained so much popularity that its annual turnover reached around Rs 720 crores. He was invited for dinner by Ratan Tata. In 2016, it sold online classifieds company Quikr in a cash and equity deal.
