Kathmandu. A 40-year-old Asian woman was stabbed to death in front of a moving train on Saturday at New York City’s Times Square subway station. The pusher has been arrested.
Michelle Alyssa, a resident of Manhattan’s Upper West Side, stood on the Go platform waiting for the train to arrive. At the same time suddenly she was pushed from behind and she fell into the rut of the train. She collided with a train coming from in front. Police reached the spot and found him unconscious and in a critical condition.
According to CNN, the accused has been identified as 61-year-old Simon Marshall. A case of murder has been registered against him. He had fled the spot and surrendered to the police in less than an hour. According to media reports, the accused Simon Marshall is mentally ill.
The defendant claims that Michel pushed her because he stole her jacket. The accused also has a previous criminal record. He was sentenced to two years in prison in a robbery case. In a press briefing, New York City Police Commissioner Kitchant Sewell said the deadly attack was done without reason. According to him, there was never any talk between the deceased and the accused before this.
The accused had contacted another woman for the same purpose before pushing the woman. The surviving woman told police that the suspect pushed Michelle when she got away on suspicion that the man was doing something wrong.
