Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has said that Virat Kohli has resigned from the captaincy of cricket and reacted to the relationship between him and the board.
Reacting to the decision of Virat Kohli and the selection committee, former Pakistan bowler Shoaib Akhtar said that he wanted to get married only after scoring 120 centuries.
He added, “If I had been in India and had the status of Virat Kohli, I would never have got married.”
Virat Kohli had decided to step down from the captaincy of the Test team a few days back. Almost a month before Virat Kohli’s announcement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) dropped him from the one-deco captaincy ahead of the ODI series against South Africa.
Earlier, after the T10 World Cup, he had decided to leave the captaincy of the T20 format. Meanwhile, there were reports of a standoff between him and the Bard and things were not going well.
